Over time I have drawn and created so many different dragons and almost all of them have unusual names and history behind them. Not only are there myths and tales, but there are also many different kinds of dragons that have been created over time by many different people including myself. Dragons have been a part of our history for centuries and there are many tales and myths about the dragon. And everybody knows that drawing round circles is an incredibly simple thing to do. The reason why anime dragons are so simple to draw is because they are bulky, less detailed, and more round.

When drawing an anime dragon you will also learn how to draw dragon legs, dragon arms, dragon talons, dragon tail, dragon wings, dragon eyes, dragon tongue and many more parts of the dragon anatomy. Anime dragons are almost really cartoony looking and have very simple parts to draw. Anime dragons to me are kind of supposed to look like they belong in anime cartoons like DragonBall Z or Inuyasha. So here I am today, this tutorial is going to be super duper simple. I was looking through them and I said to myself “hey, I don’t have a tutorial on an anime dragon”. Why an anime dragon you ask? Well for one, I have a bunch of different kinds of dragons uploaded that I drew over the course of time.
Today I am going to show you how to draw an anime dragon. Hello artist, I am back with another tutorial for you all. You will end this step by drawing the lining for the tip of the left wing and detail the right claws or toes. Detail the left thigh and then sketch out the clawed hand. Detail the bottom part of the right wing and then begin the lining for the tail. Next finish drawing the right arm and hand including the claws. This is the separation line for the belly. Next add some teeth and then draw a long curved line starting from under the jaw and ending at the top of the thigh. What you will start doing in this third step is giving this anime dragon an anime looking eye. This is the separation line for the be lly.
After you do that it is time to start drawing the lining for the left wing and both legs and right foot including the claws. You will now start shaping out the anime dragons body to give him definition. Next draw out the lining for the back of his neck and arm on the right and then you can begin shaping out the dragon wing. Make a line for his eyes and then a dash for the nose hole. Next draw an opening in the middle of the mouth so that you can give him an open smile. But first lets start by shaping out the head and then add the horns as shown. Now in this next step you will be focusing on sketching out the shape of his head and face as well as the body and wings.
